As of now I will be heading to Santa Clara University in the fall (September 2016). However, I received a call from Wake Forest yesterday offering admission off their wait list. I am interested in business but did not get directly admitted into Santa Clara’s undergraduate business school, but have the chance to apply again within the school. Which school is the better choice?
What is the financial difference between your two options?
Equal
I would factor in where you want to be (location wise). Also consider that you will be in Silicon Valley. That will open up a world of amazing internships to you. I don’t know much about Wake.
If you got into the Wake business school take it and run.
While I’m a big fan of Santa Clara, I have toured and have done a lot of research into Wake Forest as well. I think there is a huge difference in geography as well as the “feel” of each school. Wake has a great career services department and their teacher/scholar model is very interesting. The climate around Santa Clara is tremendous! And it is in the Silicon Valley which offers many job opportunities and internships. If you had been admitted into Santa Clara business, I would say go there. However, you should NEVER count on getting into the school later. You have to do well academically AND there has to be a space available. Where do you live? Is one further or closer to home? Both campuses are beautiful. Maybe I didn’t help… but again, don’t count on being able to switch schools later.
