The portal being referred to is the Applicant Status Page, right? That’s the only one I remember, but it’s been so long since applying that I can’t remember for sure.
My daughter who spoke to admissions now says it’s 8pm.

I wasn’t aware that we had to set up an interview ourselves… WASHU and Georgetown reached out so I assumed that Wake would do the same. There’s nothing we can do now but wait

Perhaps, but it could be worse. You could have interviewed with the same AO my son did. Asked questions that were less intensive about your character and likelihood to thrive and contribute at Wake, more existential. Every other parent that day had their AO come over after the interview and introduce themselves, compliment their child’s interview, ask if they had any questions. Ours? She didn’t even come down the steps to meet me.
That stinks, especially if you had some travel costs/time to get here. I don’t think that’s typical at Wake. My son’s AO was very nice and met me afterwards.

Exactly. Needless to say it left a sour taste. I’ve tried to not let it disturb me but there are very distinct right and wrong ways to conduct one’s self. We did feel slighted. Haven’t had that experience anywhere else but Wake still may be his choice. More forgiving than I.

Regarding interviews, I didn’t stick around and wait, so I have no idea if the AO wanted to meet me afterwards. My S did report mostly “theoretical” questions, but enjoyed the interview process.
Mine certainly did not.
