Walking distances

Can anyone please help me?
Am I able to make it to Kane Hall from Benson hall under 10 minutes?
I have two classes back to back.
I need to get to Kane hall from Benson hall for another class in 10 minutes.
Is this possible by walking?
What is a rough estimate of walking time from Benson hall to Kane hall?
Thank you.

I can only tell you a rough estimate of 6 - 8 mins, but I think that it is definitely a realistic distance to complete in ten minutes. For comparison, I had to go from the physics building all the way to Haggett (why my class was there I have no idea) for back to back classes and was only slightly late if I really powerwalked. Considering my classes were about twice as far apart as yours are, I’m optimistic you won’t have any problems :P

That’'s an easy walk, should be no problem.

Could someone estimate the max time it takes to walk to Kane Hall from Terry Hall?

And also…
Denny Hall from Communication Hall?

Kane Hall from Denny Hall?

Thanks!

Go to washington.edu and click on maps

Select your location and destination

Figure out the distance

Figure out your average walking/running distance

m/s * m = s

Feel good that you used basic math taught in elementary school

@compactrunner and spaceneedle so, I would not be in a hassle to make in to the classroom?
I would be able to be there few minutes early?
Is it fine for a student to be late few minutes? Do professors understand?
Thank you once again.

Get a bike.

Shark, it won’t be a hassle to make it in that amount of time, I really wouldn’t worry about it. Especially in large classes, students arrive late all the time (not that I’d advise it), and the professor generally doesn’t care unless it is disruptive. My experience last quarter going from physics to Haggett actually was with a smaller class of 25 or so, but the professor completely understood and it didn’t cause any problems since we got there as fast as we could and did not disrupt his lecture when we arrived.

it sounds doable. at least it isn’t kane to fisheries! i had that… 3x a week. then I changed my schedule, thankfully :)

kane-terry ~ 10 min
denny-communications ~ 5 min
kane-denny ~ 3 min

Thank you everyone for answering my questions kindly.
I actually visited the campus today and walked from Benson to Kane.
It only took me 5 minutes with a fast paced walk.
I hope this helps anyone.

actually kane-terry should take less than 10 min. i overestimated the distance.

thanks spaceneedle!
