Wall Street Internship cover letter-- priceless

So hope this kid gets a position. This is great!

I am slightly confused - the letter is clearly specific to one company’s manager as he recalls a meeting and conversation they had previously in the city. How is it that other companies are all wanting to contact the kid? Do they pass these around? If the recipient liked the candidate, why would he share the cover letter with other banks?

Do love the letter though!!!

If you look at the chain of emails below the letter, it appears that the letter was forwarded around. Its likely that it went to other facilities outside of the one to which he applied.

Here’s a bigger version (easier for tired eyes to read). Its gone to someone at Morgan Stanley, and one location is in Houston as well… Student Sends Great Cover Letter for Internship at Bank, and It's Now Going Viral on Wall Street;

I wouldn’t hire him. There’s a rude word in his letter – which is not a problem in itself – but it’s MISSPELLED. Out goes the resume.

Its in blue, whereas the rest of the letter is in black ink. Wonder why that was…

I read that misspelling to be intentional so it really isn’t that bad word but you get the point?

Nice- he tell you what he is going to do and how he is going to do it.

Usually these Most Ep1C Letter Ever!!!11! chains turn out to be too self aware and too insusiant. This is an actual letter done well.

I guess I’m in the minority for not finding this remarkable. It’s exactly what I would have written if I had no experience and nothing to offer except a good GPA and a hard working attitude.

Edit: Well, except for the crapp part.

I saw on the news today that he was hired as an intern at the company.
