Want to know is this is prestigious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys,
I am just wondering how prestigious is getting invited to the NCSSSMST Student Research Conference at the US Naval Academy? Is it really prestigious or what? cuz i want to know if I am going to be attending at as one of six from my school.

Thanks for your response!

Lets just say my buddy Todd from down the street got in. He is narcoleptic. Does this answer your question?

umm… ok, so ur saying its not at all prestigious? I’m pretty sure thats not true, but ok… anyone else feel like answering? Thanks!

I’ve never heard of it, if that helps.

Any NCSSSMST member school can register their students to participate. I do not know the membership requirements, but if your school is a member they can send anyone they wish, meaning that at less competitive schools essentially anyone can go. If your HS is nationally/competitively ranked and many of the other 5 selected students are IVY level applicants then it is an honor I am sure, but from an admissions standpoint it probably holds very little weight. That is, of course, unless it leads to you participating in or completing some high-level research etc.

In short its a good learning experience, but not all the prestigious.*

I should preface this by saying I am not an expert by any means and don’t know much about it other then what I found on google :D
