Want to take the SAT for a fourth time.. should I?

I know this is a common question on here… but I think I have a different story than the rest.

I signed up for the SAT in January of my Sophomore year. I took it without studying (I even stayed up till 1 the night before watching Harry Potter) and received an 1840. After, I studied a bit and signed up for it again for January of my Sophomore year. The day before, I found out my grandfather had passed away. I took the test regardless and I received a 1940. I thought maybe colleges would overlook the Sophomore year test scores because… well… it’s Sophomore year.

So, this year, I buckled down and studies for three months with a tutoring company. I just took it and received a 2180 (CR: 770; Math: 690; Writing: 720).

I don’t know why my Math score was so low on this test. I know that if I take it again, I can bring my math score up to something around 720 or so. Then my super score will go up passed the 2200 mark, which is my ultimate goal.

I will be applying to the top schools, ivys and such.

I have a 3.91 unweighted GPA and a 4.2 weighted without the three community college courses I have taken (all of which I received As in). I’m taking four APs and 7 classes this year. Next year I’m taking two classes at a local community college and 5 classes at high school, three of them will be APs. I’ll probably get into Stanford Summer School this summer, so I’ll have a Stanford transcript. Last summer I worked as an intern at The Human Rights Campaign and volunteered teaching sailing to children.

I will have amazing letter of recs.

I am the founder and president of a successful club at my High School. We recently banned the sales of single-time use plastic water bottles and installed a Hydration Station. I’m also the president of my school’s Amnesty International club, which has won national awards for Amnesty Student groups.

I also work unpaid for the umbrella organization of Amnesty International. I manage student groups on the west coast of the US. I also work as a paid tutor in Math, French, English, and Computer Science.

I’m a Latina female that comes from a working class, extremely low income family.

I want to major in Economics and Computer Science and have taken college courses (and plan on taking more) in that field.

So, my ultimate question: will taking the SAT for a fourth time hinder my chances in getting into specifically Columbia and UPenn as well as other top colleges?

Thank you!!
