I am just starting at Stony Brook University. I want to take a fairly rigorous curriculum. If I have a 4.0, get involved in a good amount of extracurricular activities, and know a few languages (I already know English and German and plan to learn more), could I transfer to William and Mary a few semesters down the line? Does anyone have any advice? I’m a history major, planning to be a professor.

It would probably be best to post on the William & Mary forum, if you haven’t already. They should be able to help you further and give you proper feedback.

However, from what I understand, a 3.5 with solid recommendations, essays, and a challenging courseload should make you a competitive applicant.
