<p>GPA: 4.1w, 3.8uw
AP classes(Score): Psych (3), World History(NA), US History (3), English Lang (4), English Lit, Calc AB, and Art History</p>

<p>Bad SAT scores will retake in September (hope to get above a 2000):
Verbal- 570
Math- 620
Writing- 620
total=1810</p>

Founder and Editor-in-Chief School Newsmagazine (3 years)
Co-President of pilot program to help body self esteem among preteens and teenagers (2 years)
Theatre Director and Student (4 years)
Tennis JV and Softball JV Teams</p>

<p>Work Experience:
TERI employee; worked as teacher and counselor for children with special needs (2 years)
Junior Theatre employee; worked with young children and autistic children teaching performing arts</p>

<p>GOOD essay, GREAT recs</p>

<p>Some of these schools (Wellesley, Notre Dame, Bowdoin, etc.) might be a stretch. UVA and Wm & Mary will also be tough since you are out of state. There are some good ones on your list though. It would be great if you could get those SAT scores up. My son found that taking the test again was a huge help in that he knew what to expect and budgeted his time much better the second time around. </p>

<p>Also, for some of the smaller schools, I really think it helps to show interest, so visit if you can. Good luck!</p>

<p>There is a very good forum called “What are My Chances”. You might get better responses there.</p>

<p>All you have to do is compare your stats to the stats listed on CollegeBoard.com for all these schools. Then you’ll have something besides hearsay to work with.</p>

<p>kward - I don;t mean to sound negative, but your SATs (<1200 on “old basis”) will almost surely rule out schools like Wellesley, Notre Dame, UVA and WIlliam and Mary. I encourage you to limit your list and really do some homework to find exactly what the probabilities are.</p>

<p>Trust me, it;s too much work to apply liberally to schools that are highly doubtful, and you need to be realistic based on the homework you do with the schools you;re really interested in.</p>
