Probably computer-related, but I’m not too sure…please don’t tell me that I should go to an art college instead; I love both art and technology, so I’m dead-set on MIT. :D

Looking through the MIT alumni directory, I see seven alums who have listed Pixar as their current place of employment. :)

Really? Sweetness! That makes my day…thanks!
I wonder what they majored in…

^ math. They invited one for the Math Alumni dinner. =)

Cool…
I think I saw on the MIT website a degree called “math with computer science.” Pixar-tailored major much? ^^ But then again, I noticed that I’m drawn to mechanical things, and literally draw them in my journals and sketchbooks. I have this strange attachment to things like Transformers, Gundam, etc. And I used to have a longtime fascination with space as a kid. The aerospace engineering major looks pretty neat as well. Only problem is…it probably has nothing to do with a career in Pixar. :(

^ The major you’re talking about is probably 18C. You could also major in 2A, a flexible version of mechanical engineering, to take more math or computer science classes.

I… don’t think an aerospace engineering degree would hold you back :)

Ah yes…I almost forgot that people at MIT often refer to courses by number. Took me a few seconds to look it up and read the basics. Mechanical engineering sounds exciting as well! I’ve always liked robots better than Barbie dolls, lol. Gosh, it would be so awesome to create a real Transformer (even if it’s tiny) years from now after that engineering major. -stares off dreamily- But I shouldn’t get too ahead of myself. :3

If not in real life, then in an animated movie, but with less Michael Bay chaos and pointlessness. :P

The alumni directory lists
- Course 4 (Architecture)/PhD MAS (Media Arts and Sciences)
- Course 4B (Architecture)
- Course 6 (EECS)
- Course 6-3 (CS)/MEng
- Course 8 (Physics)
- Course 9 (Brain and Cog Sci)
- Course 21 (Humanities)

And, of course, these are only the people who listed Pixar as their place of employment. Inclusion in the alumni directory, and listing any particular piece of information, is totally voluntary.

Thanks for everyone’s input! It really helped! ^.^
