I’m a Cleveland native, and I totally agree with this article. It’s a great and fun city…well thought out plans. The downtown is hopping. The near west side has amazing neighborhoods of nicely gentrified homes.

Cost of living is reasonable. Those planning the revitalization of the Cleveland downtown really thought it through! And it shows!

We are 2 hours away and life have done a few get always in Cleveland and east of. I would describe it as a cool trendy city. A little more edge than say Columbus. Great food scene. Unique neighborhoodS to explore. Lake Erie beaches and shore. Cuyahoga National Park.

I would say one of the urban Ohio cities that really has picked itself up. Still plenty of needs and plenty of poverty and social needs. But making progress.

We loved our time living near Cleveland. It historically gets a bad rap but it was a wonderful place to live - arts, sports, lake, hiking, food, and even a bit of skiing.

We also enjoy Cleveland. We even visited when it wasn’t as nice as it eventually became. We’re diehard rust belters, though, so we never thought it was the mistake on the lake.

And the Metro Parks system which is all over the place!

And if we are going to talk about the benefits of Cleveland, let’s just add first class medical care, and a great international airport (neither of which was part of the downtown improvement plan, but certainly adds vitality to this city. Oh, and three major league sports teams too.

No one is more proud of their city than the residents of Cleveland and its surrounding areas.

I have a kid in Philly. Also can’t believe the transformation and development in certain areas. Really took off during Covid and has only expanded.
