Warm leather gloves!

I never text when I drive but do like being able to wear gloves while texting or checking my location. I’m often the passenger.

Ok! Ordered LL Bean ultra warm mittens with a cute fur cuff. They will be there by Monday, in time for a business trip to colder than cold Michigan. Thanks, everyone!

If you buy leather I would recommend a four-button length to keep the wrists warm.

Warmest things that I have found are called Heat Holders. They have a website with socks, gloves, and long underwear.

I’d just like gloves that aren’t an inch too long in the fingers. I suspect I have to pay more to get gloves in actual sizes. Maybe I should go to a department store instead of Target.

In my town the warmest are at Ace Hardware. The best are deerskin lined mittens. My thick ragg wool gloves with leather palms are from Ace. They are fine for driving to work or walking a dog when it is around zero. I like gloves for the functionality.

@Wellspring I have very small hands also. I have found success with name brand size small women’s gloves. Anything I’ve gotten at a discount store, fingers are too long, I have also gotten youth size…all of my mittens are youth size. The bonus of that…they are usually less costly than adult sizes.

Great idea, thumper. I’ve also got small hands, but never considered getting child sizes.

Yes, good to explore kids sizes when the available adult sizes don’t work.

I bought these for my d

So far she is happy with them

Since moving from the West to the East Coast, have stayed warm with silk … such as silk underwear, AND, Silk Glove Liners … yes, multiple layers under my clothes and silk glove liner before putting on a glove that’s lined with something else, like cashmere

Good Luck staying Warm!

PS: I’m always searching for long gloves to cover as much as possible of my wrists & possibly tuck into my coat sleeves

I think cashmere lined leather gloves are fine most of the time in the winter. If my hands get cold I put them in my pockets. Even this week the car has warmed up quickly enough I have not been bothered at all. For things like skiing I do wear mittens. Down mittens. I also always wear a hat. Since my hair is in a pony tail or bun 90% of the time, I don’t worry about hat hair. I get cashmere gloves at the department store - around here Macy’s or Lord and Taylors.

I did once have rabbit fur lined leather gloves that were very warm.

Edited to add: I have stubby little fingers and the department stores usually have gloves in small sizes too.

Well, I finally wore my gloves today.

@Sally22

I’ve owned those isotoner gloves. They are NOT for very cold weather.

I found that a thin pair of gloves intended for cosmetic use worn under ski or sheepskin gloves or mittens worked well when in Arctic weather in northern Sweden. Silk or thin thermals would probably be even better.

+1 on the UGG gloves recommended by BB upthread. I bought their suede smart gloves a few years back and they definitely perform well in very cold weather. They would be perfect for work. While they are a bit pricey I purchased mine on sale and paid substantially less.

Mine are probably 3 years old but look very similar to this glove that UGG is selling this season:
