The earth formed almost 4.5 billion years ago. Since then the earth has had to go through a lot of evolution to reach to this stage. In a basic level, the earth has gone through the Archean Eon (origin of the earth till the first appearance of organisms), Proterozoic Eon (formation of continents, the prokaryotes and eukaryotes) and the Phanerozoic Eon (Evolution of organisms and human beings). Through all this time, the human life have had to face a lot including their evolution, development and the adverse changes of the earth. Despite all these changes, we have reached to such a stage where life is easier and comfortable than ever before. Yet, making a comparison of life hundred years ago and now, it is blatantly much more easier now.
As it goes out, one of the most important source that has created an impact in making life of the 21st century easier is development of the technological world. The technological prospect of the world has increased at such high rate that today calling a friend is just one touch away, meeting someone in exactly the other part of the world is only a few easy steps away and trades and commerce seem easier than ever. Even a simple person can have a huge LED Tv set at home, a huge cell phone in his pocket and one other for his entire family. As development speaks for itself, jet planes have increased more than ever before, internet has become the new source of employment and E-books have become the new source of education from the basic level of studies.
Academics now play a role in one’s life like never before. In order to earn the level of education, people now-a-days have developed such advanced technologies and sources that were not present back then. Today small kids are taught from electronic boards, ordering a book from across the globe is just a touch away from the internet and one can learn more in a laptop than in a class. With advancement of academics, people have become independent as to their study goals and have become much more relaxed to choose a field of their choice since every field now has a huge market in the world. It is much easier as an individual to go to foreign lands with the advancement of academics. The ways to give exams like SAT, TOEFL, IELTS have become much easier since you get resources online and can easily register for it even sitting at home. Life for the developing youths have much more chances in establishing themselves in a career of their wish.
As years pass by, people have started taking entertainment to be an important prospect of ones life. In order to fulfill their wishes for entertainment they have been able to bring out such entertainment sources that seemed far than imagining a hundred years ago. Entertainment has played such huge role that in the past hundred years, small entertainment sources such as X-Box or latest touch laptops to huge ones such as dinner in the air or high class movie theaters have increased at a huge rate. Also, The situation of injustice in the world that existed during 1915 now is far from concern because it has been minimized at a higher scale than back then. People now take entertainment as a major priority and have learned to give oneself time with entertainment.
However, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that life was much more comfortable and real back then than it is now. People were much more closer, harmony was well established among people of a certain group, and people didn’t waste much time in other places like the internet but actually had a face to face social life. But, it also wouldn’t be wrong to say that a hundred years ago, the prospects of war was bubbling up and people had negative intentions towards people other than their group. With a lack of proper development and lack of peace in the world, the years of 2015 now wins its position as being the easier years.
Life now has become much more pragmatic than it used to back then. As a result of this, the advancement that our world faces now has placed our life to be much more easier. With equal developments in the field of academics, technology and entertainment, the developing prospects of ones life has gone on have a huge leap.

If it is a question, the answer is “easier now” but only for a select group of people. It is very hard to tell if life is easier for many many millions who don’t even have the benefits of clean water, safe available food, and basic medical care.

The blah blah about the archean era, etc is superfluous, because rhe archean era was not a hundred years ago. The point of the essay isn’t to compare the standard of living between protozoa and modern homo sapiens.
