Was Princeton worth it?

I am interested in hearing from alums who worked hard to get into their dream school.
Was it ultimately worth it and did it live up to your expecations and if so how and if not why was it a let down?

Yes, it has lived up to my expectations (I am a junior).

I do not like college students in general, so there is that, but it is not unique to Princeton. I love it, but at the same time I feel like I am in la-la-land, not real life (as in high school, if you can believe it).

Do you find it overally competitive in the program (?) you are enrolled in or is the culture more nurturing and devoted to real learning.

As an old alum, it was worth it many, many times over.

I do not find it competitive at all. I am in a wonderful and small department, so I get intimate access to the professors, and I definitely feel like they are interested in my learning. I don’t think that students are really directly competitive with each other, but rather that they strive to do their personal best.

multiply that number by ten

Wayyy worth it
