Was this an informal interview?

So I know there aren’t any formal interviews for the College of Human Ecology, but I went to an information session and it sort of seemed like one. When I first got there, I had to fill out a paper that asked about my test scores, GPA, extracurriculars, etc. Then, since I was the only one there, I was one on one with an admissions person and he asked me a whole bunch of questions while jotting notes down.
I feel like they wouldn’t go through this trouble for no reason, so what do they do with this information? Does it have any impact on my application once I apply?

Absolutely no impact on the admissions process. Since you haven’t even applied yet, there’s no way they can even include the notes the admissions person took while meeting with you, and there’s no guarantee that the admissions person you spoke to will even be reviewing your application.
