<p>I’m a Grinnell alum and was very surprised to read this. I checked with the Grinnell Admissions office and learned that the author was misinformed. </p>
<p>According to Grinnell Admissions:
"Grinnell remains a need-blind institution for domestic students, in spite of the current
economic conditions. Last year alone we increased our financial aid budget from
$30,000,000 to $34,000,000. Our need-blind policy extends to wait-listed and
transfer students as well. True, we are need-sensitive for international
students but we have a historical financial aid commitment to international
students and provide approximately $4,000,000 annually to ensure their access to
a Grinnell education."</p>
<p>no need for you or DS to worry, youdon’tsay :)</p>
