<p>I was contacted last night for an interview. It wasn’t scheduled. They just called and I was actually in the middle of doing a volunteer job and was probably a little flustered. The “interview” took about 30 minutes total and I am still shocked they called for an “interview” with no warning. Anyone else experience this?</p>
<p>I don’t understand why you can’t say “I’m doing a volunteer job right now, when would be a good time to schedule an interview?”.</p>
<p>To be honest, I was just so shocked that I didn’t know what to say to begin with. The lady just rolled right into asking questions and I just tried to focus on answering those well instead of thinking of an excuse to get off the phone with her. It would have been a legitimate excuse, but, in that moment, didn’t know if that would frustrate her or make her question whether I was really working. Just not a great situation from any angle. </p>
<p>Just hope everyone else she called was also caught off guide where their answers were less than perfect.</p>
