Washington, D.C., regional auditions?

<p>Hi, I’m already trying to figure out a game plan for my son’s acting auditions this coming school year. I posted this query on the theater/drama forum yesterday but have had no luck getting a response, so I thought I might try the more active MT board! </p>

<p>I’ve noticed that Syracuse and Ithaca (as well as NYU, I think) have referred to holding auditions in Washington, D.C., in the past. Does anyone out there have experience with this? I’m especially wondering roughly WHEN they were held–i.e., before Christmas or right in the thick of the audition season–and where. It would be a huge help to my S if he could do a few auditions closer to home. Thanks in advance for any information!</p>

<p>We did some regional auditions in San Francisco and they were held right before LA Unifieds. It seemed like a stopover that the schools (Emerson & Boston) made on the way to LA. I really have no idea but it makes sense that they would be at a time when they were already on the road…and yeah, this all happens at once and scheduling is tough if you have a big list.
