Anyone know dates for Johnson Scholarship finalists?

The Johnson Scholarship | Washington and Lee(Jan.

Not specific dates but:

“When will I know if I am a scholarship finalist or winner?

Finalists for the Johnson Scholarship will be notified in early February and invited to campus for the scholarship selection competition. Scholarship winners will be notified in mid-March with full details about the scholarship award.“

The finalists interviews occur in early March, probably the first week of March.

Email tonight said decision will be in the portal on Friday 2/2.

I’m confused…is this email about the Johnson scholarship also your admission decision (is accepted or rejected)

No - It’s just Johnson. However, the admissions office has said that it is “highly likely” that you will be accepted if you received a finalist decision for Johnson (meaning it does really mean that you should get an acceptance). Note that means a few things, though - if you turn down visiting W&L for Johnson weekend you are essentially telling them that they are not your top college and that you’re not really interested in them. They may decide not to accept your student out of a concern for yield protection (the % of students going to a school out of acceptances sent out). Similarly, if your student goes to the weekend and does something dumb while there, they may similarly note it and not accept your student (AO on the group call noted that this happened once… a student going there for the weekend decided that they wanted to get into a few parties on campus while there… this was not a good look for that student).

i got accepted as a johnson finalist. if i go to the finalist weekend in march, does that mean i have a high chance of getting in rd even if i don’t get the scholarship?

I opened my spam and saw this:
“I’m writing to let you know your application has caught the attention of our review committee. We don’t do this for all applicants, but I’d like to provide an opportunity for us to meet virtually. My colleague (Amanda Price) and I have each set aside time on our calendars for 1:1 chats. These are informal conversations – not interviews!”

Does anyone know anything about this and has anyone else gotten this? Is this for students who are borderline or something of that nature

Is anyone able to register for either of the Admitted Students Days? Got an error message when we tried.

Spoke to the admissions office. D24 had to send the official ACT score report so they could verify her scores. At that point, her portal was up-to-date and she was able to register for the Admitted Students Day.

Johnson scholarship finalist here, still can’t register. seems like im getting rejected even after being a finalist

Have you been admitted to the University? If you’re still waiting for a decision, that’s probably why the Admitted Student Day registration is not working yet.
