@midofnowhere if you don’t mind sharing, what were ur stats/hooks in your essay?
@happydash13 I made a thread that outlines pretty much everything, if you’d like to check that out!
did anyone else get an email saying that WashU merit scholarship & fellowship program finalists have been uploaded to the portal?
Update: didn’t get into USP & didn’t get a merit scholarship but it’s ok!
yeah I got that
The finalists have been notified. Check the portal.
No merif scholarship, so sadly
I am a finalist for the Conway/Proetz art merit scholarship, anyone else? So yes I’ve been accepted! My stats for anyone interested:
1430 SAT
4.00 UW, 4.31 W
9 AP classes total (3 in junior year, 5 in senior year, I took non honors as well)
Half Caucasian/ half Korean
My whole application was super art focused (president of art club, job as commission artist, art awards and exhibitions, and much more)
It’s definitely thanks to my art that I got in!
I know there was a 1% chance of getting picked as a finalist but I’m still kinda bummed that I wasn’t chosen
Chance me?
1580 SAT (superscore)
4.0 UW, 4.6 W
17 AP Classes (2 Freshman, 4 Sophomore, 5 Junior, 6 Senior)
Junior Classical League Local President and State Officer, National Honor Society President, Community Service (Therapy Dogs International), Research at FSU and UF, Georgia Governor’s Honors Program, National Merit Finalist
@tville20 omg 17 AP classes. I don’t even think my school offers that many lol
WashU’s trend for decisions has been releasing them on a Thursday…Do we think March 12th or March 19th?
Also, has anyone’s else application checklist disappeared on the portal…mine isnt showing up
The only checklist I see is under the Financial Aid section. I think they removed the application checklist after the deadline.
I saw somewhere that decisions were to be released March 20th
the CSS profile states March 12th for the award letter…
My notes say last year was Thursday March 14th at 5:30pm (not sure what time zone). I think that’s based on last year’s thread. So Thursday March 12th makes sense for this year.
Does WashU release an email before releasing decisions on the portal?

How many docs are in your FA checklist?
@HokieCrazy How many docs do you see in your FA checklist?
I have 3 under “Received” and nothing outstanding in “Required”.
