Can the accepted students share stats, accepted/intended major, etc.?

curious how the portal astrology ended up leaning with regard to those accepted, waitlisted and rejected? was there any pattern? need to either confirm or deny these things now because to go through these posts for 72 hours every cycle is just too much.

Had the visit us, admissions officer, and counselor; got rejected

Waitlisted. No changes to the AO info and pictures. Everything stayed the same in the portal until a few hours ago. The optional essay and ā€œvisit and engageā€ section were both removed

D25 WL. didn’t look at portal enough to contribute to portal astrology discussion.

Daughter accepted! Bio major with a subspecialty in neuroscience, 1570 SAT (790 math, 780 reading - took once, not a super score), 4.5 wtd gpa, 3.99 unwtd gpa, 5’s on all AP’s except one 4 in Physics. Lots of extracurriculars and leadership.

I got in with a 1450 sat(720 Math, 730 ERVB) for engineering and I submitted my score. It really is a crapshot

Accepted. Business. Female. Valedictorian. 99% SAT. Public high school.
No merit though, so it’s too high $$$$ for us. So not happening. She tried. We’re proud of her, but full pay more than we’re willing to pay.

Rejected. 4.0 UW, 34 ACT, Nat’l Merit Scholar finalist, Valedictorian, I.B. diploma, good E.C.s and LORs. Meh, she wouldn’t have gone without a lot of merit, since we weren’t going to pay full price, so it was not a big loss. But it would have been a nice pat on the back for all her hard work.

For portal reference: No Visit us info, but the AO and Admissions Counselor were still both there.

sorry. our kids seem to have similar backgrounds. truly a crapshoot. but $90k is nuts. My kid was hoping for some merit, but…

OOS DS rejected CS. Small private school. Cambridge AICE diploma. 5 APs, 11 college courses (over and above school curriculum), school GPA UW 4.22 college transcript GPA 4.00 SAT 1600,one attempt, NMF. The way we are coping is that Wash U must have thought that DS will not attend if offered admission
