This is the official discussion thread for WashU in St. Louis Class of 2029 RD applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.
Does anyone know where to check the application id? There’s not a number code on my portal
Please check the status portal. It seems that our portal has been cleaned up. Previously there was some information about material checklist etc. Now they are all gone. It only says “thank you for submitting supplemental”. Does the change mean anything?
checklist gone long ago for me. i don’t think it means anything
Did any finalist receive a call yesterday regarding signature scholars?
Just saw an email from WashU saying RD decisions will come out this Thursday evening, March 13th!!
Yes. My daughter too received this mail today.
There was a lot of talk about portal astrology with the images of admissions officers and contact from last year. Does anyone have any portal changes?
ignore this
deleted (moot!)
Totally missed that thank you for pointing it out, I’ll remove it asap
I went to their fly in and I’m still nervous 2 days
What fly in? Please elaborate.
Yes
Would you mind sharing the portal astrology from last year?
Someone from last year said this: “If my memory is not messed up, it’s been a couple years… If you still see the AO within 24 hours before decisions come out, likely WL, if AO is gone, Accepted or Rejected, I forgot this one.”
Someone else said this: “ From our experiences in the past, if the portal stays the same, likely WL or Rejected. For the admitted students, the portal definitely looks different to move forward…We applied tons of in-state and out-of-state schools in the past three years.
And then there’s this: “I don’t know if this is helpful information but I didn’t complete my application because I decided to remove it off my college application, so I definitely have a 0% of admission. I have both AO and Coordinator in my portal lol.”
They had a fly in called WashU preview, they told us about 50% of people who did preview got into WashU! But I’ve seen a video where someone who did preview was waitlisted (she went to uchicago though). I’m still worried that I won’t get in it’s also for some reason a lot scarier because 10-15% is like “oh reject ofc” but 50% is just flip a coin and see which side it lands on
I am curious how many submitted the optional video.
Oh I forgot….
What time does it usually come out? Eastern time?
