***WashU Class of 2020 RD Applicant Thread***

@kittymom1102 Haha, no, not necessarily. My point was that anything could happen so being wait listed by WashU should bring you down whatsoever.

Waited list to CAS. I thought I would be rejected. I showed 0 interest and many qualified candidates from my schools were rejected in ED round.

@momof2eagles I think I got the free flight. I clicked that I would like to visit April 10th or 11th, and it says food, housing, and travel are free of charge

Waitlisted! Could it have to do with being an international applying for FA?

@limitdoesntexist Absolutely; internationals are not need-blind.

Waitlisted for Engineering. Not the best feeling right now, but definitely better than if I was rejected :stuck_out_tongue: For everyone who got waitlisted or rejected, like the other posters said, anything can happen for all your other decisions so don’t worry too much :slight_smile: Congratulations to everyone who got in!

@blessup thanks for sharing that!!!

did u get in ED2? (person who got into vandy rn)

@aBitOfLuck I read this article recently that said WashU was need aware, but a quick Google search also shows a source saying that it is need blind for domestic applicants.

i got waitlisted guys and i have no idea how to feel about this i thought i would be outright rejected…

Got accepted into Sam Fox!!! So excited. It’s definitely one of my top choices :slight_smile:

WHO ELSE GOT INTO ARCH?

@TheWaffleMan149 i did!!

@epoque I feel that!! I really didn’t think I was going to get in but I was also hoping I was going to get in so I’m conflicted about the waitlist, I just want to know honestly.

@blessupman That’s exactly what I thought you meant …rejection at one school doesn’t mean rejection at another :wink:

Someone mentioned scholarship apps being important- I didn’t do any but did visit and interview and was accepted. Although they may help with demonstrated interest,many people from my school did scholarship apps and nothing else but were rejected.

I was accepted to Stanford REA and just got wait listed. To all those rejected/wait listed, don’t let this bring your confidence down in the weeks to come. Admission decisions are extremely random and I honestly believe so much more goes into your decision then you’ll ever know.

Accepted into Olin!

@TheWaffleMan149 I got in too! Very surprised and excited! Also, do you know the acceptance rate for arch?
