WashU vs Rice vs JHU

Which one is better for a Pre-med majoring in biology?

All three are highly selective, urban research universities.
None is clearly better than the others for all students.
Apply to all three, then see how the admission and aid decisions shake out.
If you’re accepted to more than one, and cost is not a deciding factor, go visit them. Choose whichever one strikes your fancy.

Or, pick a less expensive, less selective school where you are likely to get a higher GPA. Med school is even more expensive than college; often there is little or no financial aid. Your MCAT scores and GPA will be the most important admission factors (not where you go to college.)

tk nails it all the way.

If medical school is really your goal, you may want to think about some LACs, where there may not be as many research opportunities - but there are also smaller classes so you get to know the faculty, fewer aggressive ‘weeder’ classes and students who are supportive and cooperative rather than competing with each other.
