Is it ever possible to “waste” a class in terms of graduating? I’m taking all sorts of stuff from all over the place- Celtic 70, History 4A, Astronomy C10, and a James Bond DeCal class. Should I try to focus on a more “useful” schedule of classes from now on, or is just taking classes that interest me okay?

IF you know your major, you should start taking lower division courses. If you dont know your major, then take many different courses so you can find out what you are interested in studying. What year are you?

Incoming freshman; so I’m coming in on the 20th. Technically, I’m a history major, but I’m feeling my way around that.

Then that schedule sounds good. you are getting requirements out of the way. Just dont make it a habit. You can take courses that interest you outside your major, but make sure you are on track to complete all your major requirements.
