Watch live webcam of parades!

Take a look at the live webcam found at Nola dot com. Great to see the fun your kid is having or will be having in the future. Looks like so much fun, I wish I could be there instead of here in cold Chicago. My DD is having a blast.

My s lost his wallet :frowning: Anyone see it in the video??

I just watched a parade on St. Charles via a webcam, great fun. Thanks for the heads up.

LOL-- I just checked and see the "aftermath!! Bit of a mess!

Oh, yes, those wallets get “lost” really easy in the Quarter. Especially when there are bare chested girls on the balcony. Oops, I’m not supposed to tell you parents about that!

Anyway, we had nice weather for a change here today in New Orleans, and I actually went down to Mardi Gras.

Happy to say, your kids were well behaved, as I stood with many Tulane students on Saint Charles near Napoleon.

Mardi Gras in early March is the best time, not too cold, not too hot, and not too rainy!

Hope your kids had a safe and happy Mardi Gras!

S2 had a fabulous time, but is utterly exhausted. Driving over to Florida with some Friends on Wednesday to “recuperate” for the rest of spring break.

LOl, montegut. I am aware of how girls earn their beads at mardi gras. But I dont think my s would have given away the credit cards that had to be cancelled after the wallet disappeared ;)

Last year older s went to visit younger s for Mardi Gras. You had a real cold snap then and it was freezing!! They seemed to have managed to find a way to keep themselves warm. I think it involved liquid spirits…

Oh, no, jym, I wasn’t implying he gave away credit cards for beads!!!

Actually, what happens is, the pickpockets have a field day, as the young men gather under the balconies to throw beads to the young ladies on the balconies.

One really should not put one’s wallet in their back pocket during the packed crowds of Mardi Gras. A “fanny pack” or those European shirt wallets would be a good idea.

Many young men carry their wallets in a purse on Mardi Gras Day, as there is quite a lot of cross dressing at Mardi Gras time.
