That just seems absolutely crazy. My water bill last quarter was 15 dollars. Anyone live in GA that can shed more light on this to me?? A $6,879 water bill for one month??

We average 200 per quarter, but that also includes sewerage dees…the town uses the amount of water usage for sewerage use…problem is much of our usage is watering plants and topping off pool…not flushed into sewer system!!!

Qdogpa, I always felt that sewer fees based on water usage were are ripoff. Imagine my anger when the county executive used these numbers to convince the county government that we were approaching the capacity limits of our existing sewage treatment plants and needed a new one! Needless to say, the project is a disaster: the chosen location sits on top of a known fault, the projected costs are doubled, two people died during the construction work, and the project that was supposed to be finished in 2009 is still not close to its completion!!! When the Big One hits us, my house (ironically, on a septic system) will be washed away by $&¥% tsunami!!!

Our averaged water bill is $30/month. Every 3-4 years we pay a septic guy to come out, take a peek under the septic tank lid and report to the $@# county, “*it works!”

Yes, the people in charge are useless, i said,half-jokingly,“Why don’ t you measure the actual flow into the sewerage system, and bill my water from that”…the reply was " then we’d be undercharging your water usage"… Duh…so,they’d rather overcharge ,lol…
