Waves of Decision Email

lol thats funny

We’re in the same boat mercruz…maybe I’ll just go and watch some Disney Channel to lower my IQ level while I wait.

Anyone know if Gmail makes a noise when an e-mail comes in?

it’s sad, but also funny

Fellow lawyer here. None of you have a case.

Technologically speaking though, I find it ironic that the birth place of Google and so many other high tech inventions can’t send out e-mail notifications in a timely manner.

Can one of you “techies” explain how it could possibly take so long to send out approx. 4700 e-mails (if that’s accurate)? Perhaps they are just being SUPER cautious so the UNC debacle doesn’t repeat itself. Maybe they’re sending them one at a time . . .

one at a time…alright…

I am in the AOL chat room and there is 20 of us - noone has got any emails… so hang in there…

At this point, I wouldn’t doubt it if they’re sending them out one at a time alphabetically. Where do you think they’d be right now…middle of the Bs maybe??

We’re at over an hour and a half! They weren’t lying when they stated it would take a few hours…

we could make a list of letters and have people fill in their decision by their last name’s first letter…

how can I get into the room?

I did some checking around - from my small sample, it appears to be alphabetical. The students I know whose last name start with A and D have heard, but the Ls and Ss I know haven’t. so the assumption is on alphabetical order. This is pretty nerve racking. My sample of 2 has one acceptance and 1 defer.

If I can inject a note of levity, I am sitting here with my son and we are watching Heros on his computer to kill time and listen for e-mail sounds. I am on my computer visiting this site and taking care of stuff. I responded to an e-mail from my daughter about a family group gift for her brother. A minute later my son’s e-mail went off. I was like, “Is this it?” and got all nervous. My son turned to me and said, “no mom, it’s the e-mail you just sent me.” This is way more stressful than waiting for decisions with my last two kids. I don’t know if I’m a fan of this e-mail system.

4700 would be about 200 names per letter…is that right?

I’m a C and I haven’t gotten anything yet…

very funny, mimk6

Guys, this is the last step for admission: the test of endurance, grace under fire.

this is silly, any rinky dink emailer can do 4000 in a minute or so. Must be the UNC disaster, I can’t find any other explanation for this

then it makes NO sense…there have been 2 deferrals, one acceptance, and 1 rejection.

I’m a T

DAMMIT

It’s not alaphabetical - guys in the chat room with B’s C’s and H’s haven’t got anything

Only paddle got def and he is from Japan - so wonder if it geographical - international first??

I’m an international applicant. And i haven’t received anything yet…
