Ways I can improve, anyone? :)

Applying NYU CAS early decision 1. (Btw, what’s the difference between early decision 1 and 2 except for the dates?)

Indian female from an extremely competitive private school in Bombay, India. ISC (the system my school offers) does not have a GPA system, we get percentages. So 11th grade, first term - 84% and second term - 80%. I’m just going into the 12th grade, so don’t have the percentages for that, yet! Uhmm then SAT I, taking it in May, but according to Practice tests - 570(Math), 720(Writing), 740(CR). SAT II English Literature, taking in June, but according to Practice tests - 710-730. I’m taking 4 AP courses - English Language (predictive 4), English Literature (predictive 4), Pyschology (predictive 5), Art History (predictive 5). Passion for art and writing, so my ECs include a lot of that! - Writer for school newspaper, writer for school magazine, writer and production member of political school magazine, blog on art-music-culture-design, interned for a fashion designer in the summer, wrote an article about the internship which is being featured in a magazine, assisted with two fashion photo shoots, spent two summers helping out in a graphic design company, started an art program for the underprivileged, art classes and workshops for years, Squash for 4 years, core committee for school music festival’s design.

Any suggestions? Ways I can improve and increase my chances?

Bump!
Anyone gotta any suggestions/advice?

You give your grade percentages, but don’t include a scale. What is your A equivalent to? I.e. what percentage and above is an A? In the US 80-82 is a B-, 83-86 is a B, 87-89 is a B+, 90-92 is an A-, 93+ is an A.

Would need to know your overall grades starting with freshmen year. Also, if your scale is the same as the one in the US you would have a B-/B average, which would make admittance to NYU highly unlikely.

In India, ISC:

70+ is an A-
80+ is an A
90+ is an A+

If you’ve applied ED I, shouldn’t you have already gotten your response back in December?

No, I’m applying this year - as in, Nov 2012
