I am embarrassed to say that I am checking my D’s application status at least once a day via USCconnect. This morning, the status changed to:

“We are unable to locate your record in this service database, please contact us ). Error code:SS2”

Did anyone get this too?

Background:

 1. The application status was always “We received all documents, and are considering…” until today;
 2. D received the letter about not being considered for the big scholarship;
 3. Submitted mid-year result online;
 4. Submitted 2011 parent’s tax form. Then, they asked for 2012-2013 Parent Income & Expense Declaration. Submitted that yesterday.

Can anyone read the “tealeaf” on this one?

Maybe servers are down for maintenance so they dont crash when results are released.

Nevermind, it is back to normal.

Best of luck to your D co4USC2016! Sometimes the tea leaves are only… tea?

Thanks madbean for the good wishes.

Did anyone else get “2012-2013 Parent Income & Expense Declaration” request?
Does it mean something more?
Still trying to read “tea leaves” ;-).

Requests for financial aid documentation are: requests for financial aid documentation. In other words, more tea.

USC attempts to collect all required financial aid information from all financial aid applicants in advance of admissions decisions so that when the decisions are made they can quickly assemble approximately 5,000 financial aid packages to be presented by the end of the first week of April. If they waited to request that information until after decisions were available, they would not be able to present the packages in a timely manner.

From past admission cycles we have an abundance of posters who were asked for financial aid documentation in February and March who were both accepted and not accepted. It is not an indication of admission or rejection.

Good luck, and I hope your tea turns out to be VERY tasty!

Yes, unfortunately, every parent is supposed to submit the Parent Income and Expense Documentation…it doesn’t mean anything. Good luck…I’m biting my nails, too, waiting for news. I don’t think we should expect to hear anything until the end of March.

nvm ignore
