We need a "University of Evansville" listing

Please join me in pleading with the CC moderators for a separate listing in the “E” category of their “Colleges” section for the University of Evansville.

Yes, it’s a small school, but the CC listings already include many colleges that are significantly smaller.

Evansville has a nationally recognized theatre program and its Study Abroad program (they “own” a British castle) has drawn great praise.

Many CCers, I’m sure, have heard of UE, because they have likely received mail from Evansville. The school has been marketing itself aggressively.

I just think that if CC added a separate listing for Univ of Evansville, there’s enough interest here to support it. Those of us who have questions about the university would have a better chance of getting them answered than the current, random way that we presently have to perform.

Let me also point out to the moderators that Evansville already has a fair amount of UE-related messages in its past posts, due in large part to a young lady that was known only as “thesbohemian.” She was a prolific contributor to this site a couple of years back, and she was viewed as a major help for many students (and families) who were thinking of pursuing a major in theatre. She eventually chose Evansville, it seems. If nothing else, CC should add an Evansville listing in honor of Thesbo.

I got Roger Dooley to agree to add three colleges (Champlain, Roanoke and Kutztown University) back in September and it still hasn’t happened. Good luck!

My niece is in her 2 year at Evansville. Currently she is studying abroad in England and absolutely loves it.

Sorry, the only thing I know about Evansville is basketball alumnus Jerry Sloan, that mean little *@&$%! He and Norm Van Lier were the toughest set of guards in the NBA in the 1970s.

Lake:

Our family has visited the campus and there is a memorial fountain/sculpture that honors the 1977 basketball team that was killed in a plane crash. It’s very nicely done, actually. Basketball still appears to be the big sport on campus.
