Ok, so as most of us know, the second edition of the BB is out already. In most threads, people have just been calling it the “New BB” or the “BB Second Edition.” I propose we come up with a universal acronym for the new book. Here’s some ideas- you can either vote for one here or add some new ideas. After a few pages, the best acronym wins with a plurality.

NBB- New Blue Book
BB2- Blue Book 2nd Edition
GB- It has almost as much green as blue
BB- We drop the acronym for our old beloved BB and accept the 2nd edition as our official “BB”

Haha, I can only imagine a discussion about the differences between the BB, the BBB, and the BBBB. Of course, we’ll be long done with the SAT by the time the third edition comes around, so that would be a problem for a future generation.

Although BB2 is the most logical choice, I don’t like having a number in the acronym because I have to look down at my keyboard to find the right one. And I have to coordinate that with taking my finger off the shift key at the right moment to avoid typing BB@.

If BBB is rejected, I’d cast my vote for NBB or GB. Even though NBB has three letters, it is actually the easier of the two to type because you get to use two different hands instead of sliding down your index finger from one row to the next, which is time consuming. (Yes, I’m overthinking this.)

But just think about BBB. Isn’t it fun getting to hit the same key three times?
