weak in history

i have a great grades in most of my classes except history. i suck. i sucked in freshmen year, i sucked sophomore year, and it was my only B junior year.
then i took the SATII’s and got my lowest grade (670). my others were 790 and 750. then i took the AP exam and got a 3. next year i’ve decided to not even take a history.
how will all this look to adcom’s and could it cost me a spot at selective schools like penn, northwestern, duke, washu even if i want to major in a math or science related field? any advice is much appreciated.
here’s a link to the rest of my resume if you wanna see that. i’m the OP

token, if you’re going to major in math/science, this is no big deal. Plus, you got into APUSH in itself, which shows them you aren’t totally ■■■■■■■■ in history. Your scores aren’t even half bad… I would say they would shrug this off in light of the rest of your app.

herrrrrrrrroooooooooo beanies and thank you

Just be careful about your writing. History scores are strongly coupled with writing scores. You should pay attention to your SAT writing score.

A 670 and a B are not that “horrible”.

my sat writing score was 730. i didn’t think that was bad at all. i’m a good writer; i just suck at history

i nkow they’re not “horrible”. i just don’t want it to cost me. maybe they won’t even notice. who knows.

bumps and lumps

there’s a weak point in everyone’s app that ppl are paranoid about thinking they have to be perfect for admission’s. not uncommon, and no need to worry.

If you’re going to be weak in anything, you’re very lucky it’s history–not on the SAT I, and while colleges generally want 3 years of it, they rarely need 4.

However…why on earth did you take that SAT II if you suck at history? I guess it doesn’t really matter since you got a 670, and that’s not disastrous, plus you have two other strong scores, which is all most colleges need. Just curious.

You’ll be fine.
