Not really. There are plenty of careers where weaklings aren’t put in charge.

I’d imagine physical strength would be beneficial in a number of industries. At my last job, it would have been so much easier if I could lift a 50 lb. box. I could do it, but I usually regretted it the next day. At my job now, I need basically no physical strength. My computer skills are what keep me going.

Well, I’m going to use the same arguments fat people use. My bone structure is really small. My parents are also both rather small. I could work out, but I a) don’t really have access to body building equipment, and b) can’t do the simplest things because of my size. When my gym class was lifting weights, my teacher had to go in the back closet to find a bar light enough, since the 45 lb. one was too much. I also doubt it’s because of a lack of use or anything, since I’ve always been really short and skinny for my age. I weighed 36 lbs. when I started Kindergarten. I remember one time in Kindergarten when we had to carry our chairs up to the gym for a show. Most of the kids did just fine, but I passed out because they were so heavy.

As for the tendencies of weaklings, I would imagine that weaklings do things that don’t require strength.

I think he’s using the phrase “able to beat somebody up” to mean that he’s physically stronger than that other person, not that he finds joy in violence.

Back on point. I’ve never heard anyone use the word “studly” and keep a straight face. I’m athletically fit, so I don’t think I’m a “weakling”.

The bigger the steak, the more fat therein that outlines it.

JB, how many people have beaten you up in your lifetime? How did this make you feel?

I don’t remember ever being beaten up…So I guess I’m fine.

Are you seriously asking such a dumb question football? I’m 5’9" and 120 and I don’t feel like a weakling. How big is your “studly” ass… switching to communications…how far will that get you

It’s all about one’s mentality. A strong mind is the only thing that matters. And I’m not talking about intelligence, I’m talking about simple mental toughness. On another note, I seriously think you’re joking football.

Oh and just thought you’d like to know…

http://www.holytaco.com/2008/06/03/the-10-most-worthless-college-majors/

check out #6 my man.

why do you believe big, “studly”, “able to beat someone up” will automatically fit the communications major mold?

and its not all about one’s mentality. being physically strong and presentable is extremely important in today’s society, whether it is involving jobs or relationships. sure having a strong mind is good to have, but so is having a good strong body.

Haha I thought this was pretty funny:

I’ll have you know I am extremely employable because of my strong interpersonal skills and dashing appearance. In fact, I just had an internship in NYC this past summer. Jealous?

I’m 6.0ft and can lift over 150lbs. I don’t think I’m a weakling. I’m not really siding with you on this football but I think being fit and strong is something thats important( and ppl don’t give this bs about being a nerd so you don’t have enough time to work out; if you count right, you have plenty of time to get straight A+s and workout). But if I had the choice of one or the other, i would pick intelligence.

Subway or Wendy’s?

At my uncle’s hedge fund which he owns and operates. He came to NYC in 1971 with $20 in his pocket, and emerged as one of the greatest investment brokers of all time.

That was your uncle. How does that prove anything about your “dashing appearance?”

Strength and intelligence is superior to intelligence alone. Strength gives you the capability to do more things.

Which is superior to the other, alone, is hard to tell. Once we get into what constitutes a “better” life, well, it’s pretty much moot.

Let’s put it this way. Do I wish I were stronger and more attractive? Yes. 95% of people do. Believe it or not, it’s really not cool to be so small. But do I quiver in my boots at the site of a football player? No way. I have no interest in being “studly.” It would just be cool if I weighed more than the girls in my class, as I currently do not.

ok guys…

i doubt this guy is serious.

It depends on where and how you live, If we live in today’s civilized world, then having brains is more important. But if civilization were to collapse, which is will do eventually, being stronger will be better. I mean being smart means nothing if you cant defend whats yours.
