Weather of Geneva, NY

Can anyone share something about the weather of Geneva? Is it extremely cold during winters? Help! Please…:)

Well it is cold & Geneva is on a lake! Sometimes it does go below zero in this part of the country (the Northeast).

Set up your home page on your computer with weather, using the zip code for Geneva!
That will give a good idea of what goes on there! :)

‘Cold’ is a pretty relative term! People often think it’s cold when it’s below 32 degrees F . . . but I’m from a part of the country where a 32 degree day in January is tropical. I think the biggest thing about upstate NY is the extremes - recently in Rochester it was 1 one day and 39 the next - and the snow.

Wunderground ([Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground](http://www.wunderground.com)) is a great place to get historical weather data. You can look at charts and graphs about the high and low temps for a month, a year, whatever. That should give you a really good idea of the ranges as well as the averages.

Thanks to both of you!

Since I’m an international student and the lowest temperature we face here is 1-2 degree Celsius, I’m pretty sure that Geneva will freeze me. :D
