hey…just wondering…who gets first preference for rooms…do early decision students get first choice?..and what exactly is webroomz, how does it work?

scholars get preference, eders dont, you can find a roommate on webroomz after filling out a little questionaire about whether you smoke, how late you stay up, what you like to do, and itll find compatible roommates
the way people other than scholars get their choice of room confused me a lot…they give out days and times when you can go on to request a room, but to make it fair (so that people at the last possible time slot have the same opportunities as everyone else) they only open like certain dorms at certain times, so you need to log on at just the right time for there to be an open alabama room for example
but that doesnt happen until like…may right? when everyone has to give their deposit in…until then the whole connect2009 (i assume thats what its called?) conference on learnlink is the only emory thing you hafta care about

Actually, Scholars don’t get preference on webroomz for the first year. I know, I’m one. The times were assigned at random, and I got an earlier time than my roommate who signed up for webroomz before I did-it’s all a luck thing.
