Website indicative of quality>?

I’ve been rummaging through the different undergraduate majors and their respective websites and noticed that the math is substantially sub par compared to…well every other website i’ve seen. I know this may sound silly but studies have shown how marketing alters one’s perception–see Blink by Malcolm Gladwell for further readings-- and their math page has hardly any substance to it.
Compare:

[Cornell Mathematics](http://www.math.cornell.edu/)

[Mathematics at Dartmouth – Welcome](http://math.dartmouth.edu/)

[Department of Mathematics - University of Chicago](http://math.uchicago.edu/)

[MIT Mathematics](http://www-math.mit.edu/)

[Mathematics Department - Princeton University](<a href=“Home | Math”>Home | Math)

I think you get the idea. I’m just not too sure about their math since they post hardly anything on their webpage regarding information.

department websites are usually subpar…because it’s usually not a web/marketing firm doing the design of it…

you forget that most older professors are technology illiterate and i imagine they dont want to invest money from their dept just to please window shoppers…

besides they way i see it…it’s about SUBSTANCE not image.

Yeah, it’s a little sick to judge a department based on how pretty their website is.
