Blogs.
I like Arts and Letters Daily http://www.aldaily.com
It’s an aggregator of articles on ideas, criticisms, books, politics. Can suck you in for more time than you had planned though.
The internet isn’t fun this week…, Agree that something new to look at would be good!
Thanks!
I am trying to get off Facebook - and need something else to do
Exactly @intparent
You have to share your interests or non-interests for us to really be able to help you. Everyone has different interests and tastes.
Do you like cooking? Home decorating? History? Music? Tv shows? Exercise? A certain hobby?
I saw put your coffee in a travel container, download a podcast and go outside for a walk - exercise and entertainment and beverage all at the same time.
I like travel, cooking, fitness, home decorating, culture (but not too highbrow), reading. I was listening to a lot of political podcasts and visiting a lot of political websites and now I am at loose ends. Thanks
@abasket, do you have some blog recommendations?
A couple of my favorites have to do with cooking/decorating.
I don’t know if I can put links here but a couple:
Apartment Therapy
The Kitchn
Joy The Baker

I also follow a lot of NYTimes special topics like the daily newsbrief (every morning), Cooking and a Running one.
Thanks abasket!
I read fashion and patent/trademark blogs. I know, a weird combo! Women’s Running is a favorite of mine, too. Plus, CheatSheeet is great for fitness news and advice. And I adore Ciscoe the gardener!!! He is our local celeb.
On a slow news day, I window shop Saks and Nordstrom. ![]()
Almost forgot!!! The SCOTUS Blog!!! That is a fav!
Thanks!

I realized when reading this thread that I am a news junkie. News sites and CC – that’s all I’ve got.
Old fashioned books and crossword puzzles (can be online). I know, not websites, but sometimes its good to be unplugged as well.
Or just browse the website of your favorite magazine(s). Lots of good reading there - even outside of the monthly issue. Who can’t use a little “Real Simple” in their daily life?!!!
This is where I go when I need to be cheered up/smile:
