Are there any websites like bluefly.com where you can buy cute designer clothes for cheap? I know I’m going to need a lot of clothes next year and I enjoy finding good deals on BlueFly.

saksfifthavenue.com but I guess its really not cheap… I’d say about the same prices as bluefly. Just make sure to not buy on ebay because most of the clothes on there are fakes. I almost bought a lacoste shirt but did a little research and found out it was fake lol.

Bluefly is good. Also try outlet malls; you can find designer goods from past seasons.

try tj maxx…and on fridays is when they get in new shipments…I once got a laundry by shelli segal $400 silk dress for $20…I regularly find good deals there in clothes and shoes, but be prepared to dig for the designer goods…

Around here, we have places like Plato’s Closet where people sell their “gently used” clothing and then you can buy it for cheap. Other than that you have outlet malls. There is another website like bluefly, but I can’t seem to think of the name of it…

I dunno, I’ve done really well with eBay. The only thing to keep in mind is that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. You can find really good deals on Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, American Apparel, J. Crew, etc etc.

Try yoox.com too.

By designer, do you mean stuff like Rachel Pally or Comme de Garcon?

Because if you like the former, I’d try revolveclothing.com and couturecandy.com also and check in the sale sections.

thank you so much moldau! i really like revolveclothing.com its very similar to shopbop.com!

I shop at HauteLook.com they have top designer clothing at 50-75% Off.

You sign up for free and then they send you newsletters of their upcoming sales.

The thing is that they have a limited amount of items (thats why its so cheap), so sales last up to 36 hours and when they are sold out they are sold out.

I usually get what I want and the prices are definitely worth the effort.

Zappos.com is always fantastic for shoes and backpacks. They have a fantastic shipping policy (it’s free, and sometimes they even upgrade your shipping for free), and you can get shoes like Frye boots at prices lower than retail. Also, buying clothes you know you’ll need in the off-season is also a good idea. Stock up in advance! I found a fantastic deal on a gorgeous pea coat for winter at Delia’s online. Sales are the way to go.

I don’t know about cheap but check the sale/clearence section on SHOPBOP.com they usually have some cute stuff in there…

I was going to suggest shopbop, but looks like you know about that place. They sell really cute stuff.

Shop at Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and whatever thrift stores are in your area! Forget about buying “designer” (there are clothes at Ross which are basically identical to what I see in high-end stores anyway); if your fashion sense is good enough, people will be so impressed with your style that they won’t give a damn who made your clothes. And it’s like ten times cheaper, which means ten times the possibilities. ;D
