I cut little blue net squares and put a pair of candies in each and tied them with a white ribbon with blue hearts. That was our favor. Prepped long before wedding and put into ziplocks — ten per sandwich ziplock.
I’m not a fan of wedding favors. But when we’ve traveled to weddings, I’ve enjoyed the welcome bags left at the hotel registration desk. They included snacks (some local specialties) and water bottles. Also a printed summary of weekend schedule.
The hardest part of this favor was that the bagels and paper had to be obtained and “packaged” during the wedding by the catering staff. Much harder than wrapping up some jordan almonds a few weeks before the wedding.
I never liked the Jordan almonds.
One wedding we got a wine stopper which we still use.
I don’t know who boxed up the woopie pies at our last wedding, but I sure as heck appreciated it. Bagels are harder, they have a shorter shelf life, and bagel stores are usually done baking by 2 pm.
