Wedding Reception "Music"?

If it was an over-the-top wedding, then the first two lines of the song were perfect!

“Everything she sees, She says she wants
Everything she wants, I see she gets…”

[Daughter, Loudon Wainwright III - YouTube](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube)

This song was in the movie ‘Knocked Up’ also.

I don’t think the volume after a certain decibel really matters. If someone likes Metal or Alternative or Country for that matter, it’s their day,but it’s just being somewhat considerate. You invited a group of people, you gladly take the gift, you should be a little considerate, at least early on.

I know some older folks that wont give anymore because of the shabby way they were treated at showers, weddings, but mainly with not acknowledging them. I had my children writing simple thank yous at young ages, I didn’t care what anyone else did and I would be appalled if my children were rude enough to take a gift and not give a thank you at their wedding or shower.
One “grandma” after leaving a wedding because it was all alternative loud music, told me she gave extra to her first grandchild, it wasn’t easy for her and she never got a thank you. I told her she didn’t have to give him anything again, but she looked so sad.
