I am the same height & basic body type/facial structure as Cyndi Lauper but my hair ( red blond)doesn’t change as much & she is thinner. Plus I am from Seattle, I don’t have an accent- although some people think I am from the UK/European.

That’s great news, Thumper! Doesn’t it feel good to slide those pants on and feel them button in place (without having to fold over unwanted body parts, lol.)?

I have NO idea who I might look like! Hmmm…

Finally broke through my plateau! Have been hanging at -21/-23 for two months, and now at -26.

When I saw y’all 26S, I thought maybe there was a new source for plus-sized clothing I should investigate. Oh well!

I am officially an apple, but I think I resemble Big Bird. It’s all in the middle. Not much cleavage, no butt, no hips, skinny legs, big bones. Have been like that since I was 11, even in the days when I was height/weight proportionate.

Best appetite suppressor… is your DH reading an MSNBC article titled “Weapons of Mouse Destruction” as you eat breakfast.

My H’s former boss thought that I looked like Meryl Streep. I dunno about that one…

So, CountingDown, does that mean the Big Bird is the celebrity that you most resemble?

And congratulations on the breakthrough!

She played Bob Newhart’s wife! don’t you remember her saying, “Bob” in that patient tone of voice?

I am having a hard time keeping up with what is on this thread and what is on Dressing Young.
J Crew cords-For those who have bought them recently, Is the sizing the same as in their jeans?
I bought a pair of GAP jeans last spring at the advise of someone on one of the other threads. I have been pleased with the quality of the denim and I like the fit of the style I purchased. They are not old lady jeans but they also don’t show my butt. I need to order a pair down a size from what I am wearing. The butt is getting baggy.
I am fitting comfortably into a pair of jeans that I used to reserve for evenings out with my Dressing Young friends. Meaning they were pretty skinny and tight fitting. Now they fit like regular jeans. I have reached the end of my low sized jeans in my closet. For the first time in years I have made the decision to get rid of all the pairs that are now too large. I am making the committment to not let myself slowly put on those extra 5 lbs each year.

LOL, Mom60. This reminds of when my friends get together and there are eight different conversations going on at one time!

I know. We are mixing threads, and I am one of the prime culprits. I will speak strictly to myself, and try to eat more lettuce today:).

Well, Bunsen, then I think you and Gourmetmom might resemble each other - although Meryl is so versatile that even her face seems to change depending on whom she is playing.

Me - I have been told that I remind people of much shorter (5’6") Geena Davis (I don’t have her smile- ooh maybe when the braces come off!!). It’s those high and wide chubby cheeks.

I also used to be told Hayley Mills. When I was young. Lord knows now, but my photo is easily obtainable due to my blog.

This needs to be thrown down on the CC best one-liner thread.

Haley Mills and Natalie Woodhave a lot of Doppelgangers.

I’m a pear. I tend to look like a weigh less than I do since I’m not very busty and my face is long and narrow. Turned up nose and freckles. My hair is auburn and wavy. I have no idea what celebrity I might look like.

(I can’t believe I’d typed pair for pear and hear for hair the first time round - how weird is that?)

Mathmom,

You sound as if you look like Genevieve Bujold. Auburn hair. Lucky you.

EPTR – yellow is not a good color on me. :)

I wish I looked like Genevieve Bujold! I don’t have her big eyes, pouty lips or pixie shaped face. More like Sigourney Weaver.

I suspect it is because we both are half Asian…

Or even 2 pounds/year. When I think about it, that is how I slowly went from being slim to dumpy. I think staying on point is a different challenge than losing weight. Because I have been at my target weight (actually it is lower than my original target - I had given up on ever getting back to this weight) for about six months, I have started to reintroduce some foods I had essentially abandoned. Crackers, for example. I know I have to careful, however, because it is easy to buy a box and discover the whole thing disappears in a day or two. Well, not disappear really, just relocate to my body. So, I need to remember that a serving is fine, but if need be, just pitch the rest of the box after we entertain.
