I received a rec letter from my internship supervisor, who is a highly regarded professor at a top medical school. In it he said my work was better than his undergrads and even some of his medical students. It was an amazing LOR, but I am wondering if this holds much weight in the admissions process. Everything else in my app is pretty solid (33 ACT and 3.94 unweighted, lots of EC’s). Any ideas if this will make a difference in merit aid?
It’ll be read along w/your other rec letters. I think it’ll give a good perspective not otherwise covered and should be a help to you, overall. As to merit aid, that’s unknowable – but it certainly can’t hurt. Good luck
It certainly won’t hurt you. It probably won’t have a major impact, but like the above poster said, it will give another perspective to your app.
