<p>How important are SAT II scores exactly, and how much will a poor score adversely affect an applicant?</p>

<p>most of the schools do not require but are “recommended”. The only one that requires accepts ACTs in lieu of SATs + IIs, and my ACT score is nearly as strong as my SAT (32 vs 1490/2190) so its not like the difference between the two would hurt me.</p>
