Im sure there have been many discussions on this, but could someone give me an updated answer as to how Yale weights the writing section? At one point they were not looking at it, but I can’t tell if they have changed their policy. On my first (and only) sitting I got a 780 M, 780 CR, 690 Wr. So, I am really hoping they don’t count Wr, since I already have my ORM status from a high-applicant area working against me!

I wouldn’t worry too much. I got in SCEA with a 800 M, 770 CR, and a 710 Wr which is slightly higher than yours. It’s not going to make or break you. Just polish the other parts of your app.

If it helps I came from a similar area with 10 people applying early to Yale this year.

thank you asinine! But, out of curiosity, does Yale count writing?

They look at it, but not as much as the other sections.
