does anyone know what kind of renovations are being done on Weinstein? Do you think it will actually make any noticable differences?

Check out this article from the Washington Square News: http://www.nyunews.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2006/02/01/43e0842b08731</a>
“NYU to revamp freshman res. hall”

Don’t quote me, but I believe some of the renovations have to do with pipes and floor tiling and stuff like that. I could be completely wrong though…

Weinstein had an asbestos problem so they shut down the residence hall for the summer including the dining hall in order to fix it. They also did some maintenance on all of the rooms including upgrading aircondioning units and trying to add some more lighting and what not. You will notice the biggest changes on the top floors. They also did extensive elevator work so those of you living there will have some of the fastest elevators on campus. The look of the building will be exactly the same. Basically they had to shut down the building for a problem so decided to do all the rennovations that likely would have taken years in a summer. Those of you in Weinstein next year lucked out!
