weird "du" noise in my Macbook

<p>my macbook pips out “du” every few seconds…anyone knows why?</p>

<p>In regards to your post, try the apple.com help section. If that fails, call apple support.</p>

<p>Error sound? You get that sound (unless you set it to another) when you perform an action that is not allowed – say, when a window requires a response from you, and you haven’t attended to it.</p>

<p>Incoming email? The Mac also uses that sound as a default to announce the arrival of a message.</p>
