So, I’m a Senior in high school applying to colleges, specifically Duke, Northwestern, Cornell, UPenn, USC, and some of the UCs, so these schools are quite selective, although not the tippy top.
For reference, I have a 3.95 UW GPA and a 4.2 W GPA at a top 300-100 (fluctuating ranking in last few years) school in the nation with a 1550 SAT and some decent extracurriculars (Nothing insane) such as Co-Authoring Neuroscience Research study with a UCI Professor and some work experience and art.
This senior year, I’m taking 5(or 6 idk) classes:
Contemporary Literature (Non-Honors)
AP Chemistry
AP Government
Calculus (Credit Directly Awarded by Chapman University)
Biotechnology (Credit Directly Awarded by Community College)
Biotechnology Laboratory (Credit Directly Awarded by Community College)
It looks decent from what I see now, but there’s a caveat. The 3 last classes do not show up on my transcript for high school. However, I am sending transcripts for my college courses (Which I have taken 6 of outside of school).
Would it be a red flag that I only have 3 courses on my HS transcript senior year? I have a pretty loaded schedule tbh, but if you were to look at my transcript, it would only be 3 courses. At the same time, I am sending in my college transcripts that do show my credit for these 3 college courses.
I’m really not sure if I should be stressing out about this. It looks kinda bad, but at the same time, it could be ok. I am applying to some selective schools so any red flags would be quite a big blow to my admission chances.
Any help would be appreciated! And again, my question is: Would it be a red flag that I only have 3 courses on my HS transcript senior year despite having these 3 other classes on college transcripts?
Thanks!
