So we have to describe whats a “Pinned truss” and a “frame truss”.

I guess by frame truss he means the space framed truss. But which truss does he mean by the Pinned Truss?

I guess by frame truss he means the space framed truss. But which truss does he mean by the Pinned Truss?

I believe that the distinction is related to the member end connections. A ‘pinned’ truss would have its members pinned at the ends (i.e. purely axial members). A ‘framed’ truss would be, as you note, a space frame (i.e. moment connections at the member ends).

So…a pinned truss and a planar truss are the same?

Also, are load cells and load sensors the same thing?

You’re really not supposed to ask for help with homework on CC.

This isn’t a homework help site, though… Knowledgeable though we may be, there’s an actual policy on not asking for homework help in the forums.

^I like how this thread showed up 5th from the top on the result.
