Welcome back Endeavour

Scared the crap outa me. A few minutes ago I was outside jogging and heard this big BOOM BOOM. After examining the horizon for a mushroom cloud, I realized today was the big day! Welcome back Space Shuttle Endeavour!

http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2007/aug/21/sonic_boom_nasa_watching_fla_weather_shuttle_prepa/?breaking_news

It was a perfect landing  Beautiful to watch… whew - with relief!!

Yes - Welcome Home!

Oh thank God they were right about the safety of that 3" hole in the shuttle!

Doubleplay, I heard that double BOOM as well - honestly, I thought something exploded somewhere as I didn’t think to connect it to Endeavor.

I made a promise to myself that I am going to drive over to see the next one lift off, whenever it happens…

The only sucky thing about coming here for a liftoff is, many times the liftoff is cancelled at the last minute. :frowning:
We’ve done that before- got seated at a nice table in front of big windows on the water at Port Canaveral, awaiting a nighttime beautiful liftoff, and have the thing get postponed. HOW DARE THEY! Although the dinner was still very nice…

DP - well at least you got a nice dinner and a great view LOL
