Well-known college or Small College?

<p>I’ve fallen in love with a small college. Everything seems to match up with any other college, well-known or not. My question is: will I be passed up for a job post-college if I didn’t attend a well-known college??</p>

<p>No. An accredited college will get you a job.</p>

<p>A big name can impress at first site, but ultimately college is what you make of it. A student at his local public university can wind up being more qualified for a job than a Harvard graduate if the student works hard enough. </p>

<p>Go with the college you’re in love with.</p>

<p>You won’t be passed up for a job, but recruiters may not visit smaller colleges as much because the yield won’t be as high. So you may have to be more aggressive at finding companies to apply to for internships and post-graduation jobs.</p>
